Women’s singles semifinals today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Women’s singles semifinalists were selected in the ongoing 104th National Tennis Championship continued at the Sri Lanka Tennis association courts yesterday. The women’s singles semis will be worked off today At the SLTA courts. The first semifinal will line up Anjalika Kurera versus Anika Seneviratne while the second semifinal will see Rukshika Wijesuriya taking on Janali Manamperi. Anika beat Neyara Weerawansa 7/5, 6/1 in the second round and went on to defeat Savini Jayasuriya 6/1, 6/1 in quarters. Anjalika had the better of Oshini Herath 6/2, 6/2 in the second round and edged out Kemali Herath 6/4, 6/0 in the quarterfinals.

Janali defeated Tuvini de Alwis 6/3, 6/3 in the second round and beat Thania Doloswala 6/4, 2/6, 6/1 in a much competed quarterfinals.

Rukshika tamed Aindi Ratnayake 6/0, 6/0 in the second round and beat Oneli Perera 7/6(1), 6/4 in quarters.
