Navy holds a person with heroin in Kalpitiya

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka Navy has held a person with heroin at Palliyawasalapadu area in Kalpitiya.

Accordingly, a suspicious person who was riding a motor bike had been observed during a patrol carried out by the North-West Naval Command. By further search the suspect was apprehended with 10 milligrams of heroin and he was identified as a drug trafficker in Kottantivu area in Puttalam, aged-28.

He along with the heroin and motor bike were handed over to Udappuwa Police, for onward action.
