Sarath Kumara & 5 others banned from travelling overseas

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Court today imposed international travel bans on former Deputy Minister Sarath Kumara Gunaratna and five others who were accused of misappropriating state funds amounting to Rs.1.09 million.

The order was issued by Colombo High Court Judge Shashi Mahendran.

The group is accused of misappropriating funds belonging to the Ceylon Fisheries Harbour Corporation, during the tenure of the previous United People’s Freedom Alliance-led government.
