15,000 graduates to receive teacher training

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Ministry of Education has decided to provide teacher training to nearly 15,000 graduates who were absorbed to the state service recently.

Education Minister Dallas Allahapperuma said a written request has been made to obtain the approval for the proposal from the National Election Commission.

Under the programme to grant appointments in the state sector to unemployed graduates, 42,919 individuals have received appointments.

Speaking during a media briefing, Minister Alahapperuma said following the conduct of the Parliamentary Election, appointments will be given to another 7,000 graduates.
