Navy apprehends 4 persons with Kerala cannabis in Southern seas [VIDEO]

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka Navy, during a search carried out in Southern seas yesterday (09), managed to apprehend 4 persons for possession of Kerala cannabis and seized a fishing vessel belonging to them.

Accordingly, the Navy intercepted the fishing vessel in Southern waters and held a fisherman on it for possession of over 83 grams of Kerala cannabis. Three more suspects on the vessel were also taken into Naval custody.

The apprehended persons, Kerala cannabis and the seized fishing vessel were brought to the Galle Harbour and handed over to the Harbour Police in Galle for onward investigation.
