UAE leaders perform funeral prayers for Sharjah Ruler’s son

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sheikh Khalid was laid to rest at King Faisal Mosque today.

The funeral prayer for Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the son of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, was held at King Faisal Mosque at 9am on Wednesday.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah attended the funeral prayer.

Rulers of emirates, top officials and well-wishers joined the funeral prayer and burial of Sheikh Khalid.

Condolences will be accepted at Al Badee Palace after Al Asr prayer on Wednesday for three days.

A 3-day mourning period was announced in the Emirate of Sharjah, during which UAE flags will be flown at half-mast beginning Wednesday for three days.

He passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019, in the United Kingdom. (Khaleejtimes)
