UTV | COLOMBO – The Police has warned 1,471 individuals in the Western Province for not wearing face masks.
Police said 1,023 individuals were warned for failing to maintain social distancing.
Meanwhile 258 individuals were arrested between 6am yesterday and 5am today in the Western Province in special raids.
A majority of the suspects, 115, were arrested for the possession of heroin.
82 individuals were arrested for the possession of illicit liquor, 11 for the possession of the narcotic ICE and 42 others for the possession of marijuana.
