“Squad,” “Lucy,” “Irishman” date talk

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Apparent leaked production dates indicate that James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad” will kick off shooting from September 23rd in Atlanta, with filming to continue all the way until the end of January 2020. Casting is currently taking place on the project with pre-production in full swing.

That’s one of several bits of date-related talk today. Another is that Noah Hawley’s astronaut drama “Lucy In The Sky” has plans to debut at one of the Fall film festivals. Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm and Dan Stevens star in the project which follows the story of a married female astronaut who begins to spiral out of control after a torrid love affair with one of her fellow astronauts.

Finally, an earlier report online suggested that Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” was targeting a Thanksgiving release, but representatives from the production have shot down those reports saying no release date has yet been set. The film is expected to debut sometime in the fourth quarter of the year on Netflix.
