Rail commuters stranded due to train strike

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Rail commuters on some of the country’s busiest routes are facing disruption due to a 48 hour strike from midnight Thursday (20).

Rail commuters were left stranded this morning (21) as railway unions launched the trade union action citing the Government’s failure to resolve issues concerning salary anomalies of railway employees.
