“G. I. Joe 3” “Micronauts” films pushed back

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Paramount Pictures has pushed back two Hasbro-originating action film titles, a move that was expected as neither is close to beginning production.

The third “G. I. Joe” film was originally slated for 27 March 2020 release, but has now been moved back to 16 October 2020 opening. At the same time, the “Micronauts” film which was in that October slot is now set to debut on 04 June 2021.

D. J. Caruso has been rumoured to direct the new “G. I. Joe” which boasts a script by Josh Appelbaum and Aaron Berg. That said, no cast is attached at this time. The first two films grossed USD 678.1 million globally.
