(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Ministry of External Affairs of India has updated its travel advisory to Sri Lanka by easing restrictions imposed on its citizens travelling to Sri Lanka following the Easter Sunday Attacks.
The updated advisory stated that the security situation in Sri Lanka is gradually returning to normal with the lifting of curfew and restrictions on social media and the opening of schools.
The Ministry advised Indian nationals travelling to Sri Lanka to remain cautious and vigilant.
Furthermore Indian nationals were required to contact the High commission in Colombo, Assistant High Commission in Kandy and Consulates in Jaffna and Hambantota for further assistance.
Accordingly the Indian External Affairs Ministry advised it citizens to exercise caution while in Sri Lanka.
