More rain in Sri Lanka tomorrow and day after

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Showery condition is expected to enhance to some extent over South-Western part of the island in next few days, particularly on Wednesday (29) and Thursday (30).

The Department of Meteorology forecasted that the showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces on Tuesday (28), while several spells of showers will occur in North-Western Province as well.

Furthermore, showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva Province particularly after 2.00 PM.

Fairly heavy falls about 75 millimetres can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central Provinces, and in Galle and Matara Districts, the Met. Department added.
