“A Quiet Place 2” moved up to March 2020

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Paramount Pictures has moved up John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place” sequel by two months, moving it from its first announced May 15th 2020 release date to a new one on March 20th 2020.

The new date puts it closer to the original Spring launchpad of the first film back in 2018 where it took in $50.2 million domestically in its opening weekend and ended its domestic run at $188 million and a whopping $340.9 million global haul.

The move comes as Paramount moved the “Sonic the Hedgehog” film last week from a November 8th 2019 to a February 14th 2020 date, and the studio has now filled Sonic’s old date with the comedy “Playing With Fire” starring Judy Greer, John Cena, John Leguizamo, and Brianna Hildebrand.
