Washington, Vikander, Holbrook join “Murdered”

(UTV|COLOMBO) – John David Washington (“BlacKkKlansman”), Alicia Vikander (“Tomb Raider”), Boyd Holbrook (“The Predator”) and Vicky Krieps (“Phantom Thread”) have all been set to lead the cast of “Born To Be Murdered,” a new thriller which hails from much of the team behind Oscar-winner “Call Me By Your Name”.

Set in Athens and the Epirus region of Greece, the story follows a vacationing couple (Washington and Vikander) who fall trap to a violent conspiracy with tragic consequences. Production is currently underway in Greece.

Call’s director Luca Guadagnino is only producing this time out with Ferdinando Cito Filomarino, the second unit director on Guadagnino’s last three films, directing from a screenplay by Kevin Rice. Filomarino is also the great nephew of iconic Italian filmmaker Luchino Visconti.

Call’s producer Rodrigo Teixera, editor Walter Fasano and cinematographer Sayombhu Mukdeeprom will all re-team for this while Oscar-winner Ryuichi Sakamoto (“The Revenant”) is handling the score. Marco Morabito, Francesco Melzi and Gabriele Moratti will all produce.
