Sri Lanka blocks social media networks

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka’s Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) has blocked social media networks such as Facebook, Viber, and Whatsapp across the country to prevent the spread of misinformation.

At least 185 people were killed and hundreds injured in explosions across Sri Lanka on Sunday morning (21), the Christian holy day of Easter. Three Churches and four hotels were targeted.
