Efron, Seyfried to voice “Scooby-Doo” film

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried are set to voice Fred and Daphne in “Scoob,” the upcoming animated Scooby-Doo film in the works at Warner Bros. Pictures.

The pair join Will Forte as Shaggy Rogers, Gina Rodriguez as Velma, Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman and Frank Welker as Scooby. The project marks the first “Scooby-Doo” theatrical release since 2004’s “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed”.

In “Scoob,” the spooked dog and his friends team up with other Hanna-Barbera characters to take on Dick Dastardly. Tony Cervone helms while Chris Columbus, Pam Coats and Allison Abbate are producing the film which is targeting a May 2020 release.
