Wadlow to direct a “Danger Girl” film

(UTV|COLOMBO) – “Truth or Dare” and “Kick-Ass 2” director Jeff Wadlow has been slated to helm the action-adventure comic adaptation “Danger Girl” for Constantin Film.

Created by artist J. Scott Campbell and writer Andy Hartnell, the 1988-launched comic follows the adventures of Abbey Chase – an adventurer who is reluctantly recruited into an all-female clandestine spy organization.

Chase is then paired with operatives Sydney Savage, Natalia Kasstle and ‘Silicon Val’ on a globe-trotting adventure to locate a series of mystical objects and keep them out of the hands of the evil Hammer Syndicate.

Wadlow will also perform rewrites on the script previously worked on by Umair Aleem. Robert Kulzer, Jeremy Bolt and Adrian Askarieh will produce and filming begins next year.

Wadlow is currently working on the film reimagining of “Fantasy Island”.
