SLPP and SLFP to begin formal discussions today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A series of formal discussions is scheduled to commence on Thursday (14) between the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) on forming a new political alliance.

SLPP Chairman Professor G. L. Peiris, Senior Lecturer Jagath Wellawatte, and Joint Opposition (JO) National Organiser Parliamentarian Dullas Alahapperuma would attend the meeting representing the SLPP, while Professor Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa, Parliamentarians Dayasiri Jayasekara, Mahinda Amaraweera or Thilanga Sumathipala would represent the SLFP.
