MONETARY LIMITS OF COMMERCIAL HIGH COURT INCREASED

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The minimum value of consideration of cases filed at Commercial High Courts has been increased from 5 to 20 Million Rupees.

A special gazette issued stated that the change will take effect from the 15th of March.

Legal experts point out that this step would help resolve cases of higher value sooner, thus increasing confidence among investors.
