Cloudy skies expected over Southern part of Sri Lanka

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Cloudy skies can be expected over Southern part of the island on Thursday (28).

Several spells of showers will occur in the Eastern Province and Polonnaruwa District, the Department of Meteorology stated.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva Provinces, and in Matara, Hambanthota, Kalutara, Kurunegala and Anuradhapura Districts after 2.00 PM, the Met. Department stressed, adding that the fairly heavy falls about 50 millimetres can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces.
