UNP Working Committee to discuss Ranjan’s cocaine claims

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A special meeting of the Working Committee of the United National Party (UNP) is scheduled to take place this morning (27) to discuss the controversial claims made by State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake on Parliamentarians using cocaine drugs.

The meeting will be held at the UNP Headquarters ‘Sirikotha’ at 11.00 AM.

The Investigation Report compiled by the Leader of the House of Parliament, Minister Lakshman Kiriella will also be tabled during the meeting.

Ramanayake submitted the details of Parliamentarians who allegedly consume drugs to Kiriella led four-member Committee on 22 February.

Kiriella Committee Report is to be submitted to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for further investigations.
