Queen to perform at The Oscars ceremony

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Queen will perform at this coming Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony. The announcement was made by AMPAS one week out from the awards show.

The announcement comes in the wake of the blockbuster success of “Bohemian Rhapsody” in cinemas. Original guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor along with “American Idol” star Adam Lambert will perform.

The film, which has taken in more than $854 million worldwide, is up for multiple awards at the ceremony including Best Picture and Best Actor for Rami Malek’s work as the late Freddie Mercury.
