(UTV|COLOMBO) – It wasn’t certain but now it is official – Nick Jonas will return for the upcoming “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” sequel.
The actor and musician appeared in the 2017 hit as the avatar of a teen who had been stuck in the game for decades – living in the hideout that had once been home to Robin Williams’ Alan Parrish from the 1995 film.
He joins fellow returnees including Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan as the other avatars; Ser’Darius Blain, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, and Morgan Turner who’re back as the game playing teens; and newcomers to the series Awkwafina, Danny DeVito and Danny Glover.
Jake Kasdan is returning to direct and pen the script with Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. Matt Tolmach, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia will produce the film which opens December 13th. Jonas recently wrapped Roland Emmerich’s “Midway”.
