‘Sigiriya’ to be declared No-Polythene Zone

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A decision has been made to declare ‘Sigiriya’ Rock Fortress as a No-Polythene Zone with effect from 01 March.

The decision was taken as per the instructions of the Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs Sajith Premadasa.

Accordingly, the tourists will be prohibited from bringing in polythene, and allowed to bring in food items into the zone only after removing the polythene wrappings, into the historic area of ‘Sigiriya’.
