Angelina Jolie has been set to star in “Hell or High Water” writer and “Wind River” director Taylor Sheridan’s new chase thriller “Those Who Wish Me Dead” at Bron Studios and Film Rites. Sheridan helms from his own script which is based on the 2014 novel by Michael Koryta.
The action unfolds against a wildfire in the Montana wilderness and follows a fourteen-year-old boy who witnesses a brutal murder. He’s put into witness protection at a surviva training program for troubled teens, meanwhile the two killers are slaughtering anyone who gets in their way in a methodical quest to reach him.
Jolie’s role isn’t specified but key supporting roles in the project include a couple who run the wilderness survival program and a woman who occupies a lonely fire lookout tower. Aaron L. Gilbert, Garrett Basch and Steve Zaillian produce and filming begins in May.
Sheridan was working on the thriller “Fast” which had Chris Pratt attached, but Collider reports that project has stalled in development even as Jon Bernthal has also come onboard.
