Drug kingpin Mohamed Siddique released on bail

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Drug kingpin Mohammed Siddique has been released by the Colombo High Court under a cash bail of Rs. 1 million and two personal bails of Rs. 5 million, it is learnt.

Siddique was charged for violating the Prevention of Money. Laundering Act by illegally earning over Rs. 510 million through alleged heroin trade.

The Court imposed an overseas travel ban on Siddique, and ordered him to report to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on the first and third Sundays of every month until further notice.
