Showers to continue – Met. Department

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Due to the low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, showery condition is expected to continue on today (01), the Department of Meteorology said. Cloudy skies are also possible over most part of the island.

Showers or thundershowers will occur most parts of the island.

Fairly heavy showers about 100 millimetres may occur at some places particularly in Northern, North-Central, Eastern, North-Western, Uva and Central Provinces.

Fairly heavy showers about 75 millimetres may occur at some places elsewhere.

Misty conditions may occur at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces during the morning.
