Fundamental rights petition filed in SC against proroguing of parliament

(UTV|COLOMBO) Attorney-at law Nagananda Kodituwakku has filed a fundamental rights petition before the Supreme Court seeking the withdrawal of the Gazette proroguing the Parliament.

The petition states that the Gazette issued by the President on the 27th October, proroguing the parliament till 16th November without good reason has created instability in the country.
