(UTV|COLOMBO) – The enhancement of afternoon thundershowers to some extent over the island can be expected, the Department of Meteorology said on Wednesday (17).
Showers or thundershowers will occur at most places over the island particularly after 2.00 PM.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in Eastern coastal areas in the morning too.
Fairly heavy falls about 100 millimetres can be expected at some places, particularly in Central, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, North-Central and Eastern Provinces, and in Vauniya District.
