NFF hands over resignation to UPFA

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The resignation letter of the National Freedom Front (NFF) to withdraw its membership from the United Peoples’ Freedom Alliance (UPFA) to remain independent in parliament has been handed over to the alliance General Secretary minister Mahinda Amaraweera.

NFF media spokesman Mohamed Musammil stated to media that his party leader MP Wimal Weerawansa handed over the letter to the UPFA General Secretary.

Meanwhile, the decision of the speaker over the NFF leader MP Wimal Weerawansa’s plea to remain independent in parliament will be announced on March 7.

This decision was taken during the political party leaders meeting held yesterday (23rd Thursday).
