“No immediate cabinet reshuffle” – Mahinda Amaraweera

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) General Secretary Minister Mahinda Amaraweera says that there is no need of a speedy cabinet reshuffle. The Minister said that although certain groups had requested for a cabinet reshuffle, such a change will not be made in the next few days.

Talk on the political platform about a cabinet reshuffle has gathered momentum.

While some Ministers representing the Government publicly issue statements saying that a cabinet reshuffle is necessary, others say that such a reshuffle is not necessary.

Views regarding the cabinet reshuffle were expressed at a discussion the senior Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and United National Party (UNP) Ministers had with the President day-before-yesterday.

However participating at a public meeting held at Walasmulla yesterday (05th Sunday) Minister Mahinda Amaraweera stated as follows regarding the cabinet reshuffle.
