Case against MP Udaya Gammanpila postponed

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Colombo High Court today postponed the case filed against United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila on charges of financial misappropriation of 2 million rupees from an Australian couple by using a forged Attorneys permit.

The Colombo High Court accordingly postponed the case to the 16th of February.

The State Counsel addressing Court said the summons issued to the Australian couple, the aggrieved in the case, was submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

High Court Judge R Dunusinghe informed the Counsel to ensure the couple receives the summons and to table a report on the matter at the next hearing.
