Piyankara Jayaratne sits in the Opposition

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Former State Minister Piyankara Jayaratne who resigned from his post recently today occupied one of the opposition benches in Parliament today (24th Tuesday).

Udhayam News, lobby correspondent said MP Jayaratne was seen walking into the chamber flanked by members of the so-called joint opposition parliamentarians.

Parliament convened this morning for a special session to debate the report compiled by the Committee on Public Enterprise or COPE on the Central Bank bond issue.
