(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Former Chief Minister of the Eastern Province Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan, arrested over the murder of Former Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Parliamentarian (MP) Joseph Pararajasingham, has been further remanded until the 6th of February.
The order was issued by Batticaloa District Judge MI Muhaideen.
Former TNA MP Joseph Pararajasingham was murdered on the 25th of December 2005 at a church in Batticaloa.
Pillayan was arrested on suspicion over the murder on the 11th of October 2015.
