Flexible hours for public sector working in Battaramulla

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Government has decided to launch a pilot project for people working in officers in and around Battaramulla. Under this project they will be given the opportunity of working on flexible hours.

Under this project they can clock in at any time between 7.30 a.m. and 9.15 a.m. and after completing their duty hours they can leave between 3.15 p.m. and 5.00 p.m.

According to a study undertaken between November 2016 and January 2017 of the number of vehicles which come to public offices in and around Battaramulla, it shows that 58 percent use their own vehicles or office vehicles and come to office between 7.00 a.m. and 9.30 p.m. and leave office between 3.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m.
