Two killed in a tipper-three-wheeler collision

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A woman and her teenage son were killed in a traffic incident involving a tipper truck and a three-wheeler on the Colombo-Kurunegala main route in the Walakumbura area of Alawwa.


According to the police, a 42-year-old woman from Borelesgamuwa and her 18-year-old son died in the collision.

The woman’s husband and another son were injured and taken to Polgahawela Hospital before being moved to Kurunegala Hospital for further treatment.

The tipper truck’s driver has been arrested by the Alawwa Police.
