(UTV | NEW DELHI) – Kamal Haasan last delivered the action drama ‘Vikram’, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and the film turned out to be the biggest hit. ‘Vikram’ also had a theatrical run of over 100 days, and the team celebrated the film’s completion of 100 days recently. Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ had the longest theatrical run in a theatre at Coimbatore The film was successfully screened for 113 days, and the film ended its run yesterday as a new Tamil release occupied the silver screen. However, the mammoth film has proved its strength by setting three big records.
Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ is the highest-grossing film with over Rs 450 crores collection worldwide, which is the highest share for any Tamil film at over Rs 215 crores. ‘Vikram’ is available for streaming on multiple OTT platforms and the fans have been enjoying the power-packed action drama regularly through them.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Vikram’ features Kamal Haasan in the lead role, and the film is about a RAW agent who battles to prevent the usage of drugs in society. Fahadh Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, and Gayathrie played important roles, while Suriya stunned fans with his cameo role in the climax of the film. ‘Vikram’ will also have a sequel and the team has planned to have the following chapters to give a brief explanation of the story. Anirudh Ravichander’s music to the film has worked very well as his vigorous background score elevated the action sequences to a higher level.
