4 Norochcholai staff members undergo PCR tests

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Four employees of the Norochcholai Lakvijaya Coal Power plant have been directed to undergo PCR tests after they showed coronavirus-like symptoms.

Media Spokesman of the Ministry of Power and Energy Sulakshana Jayawardene speaking to a news portal in the isle has said the results of the PCR tests will be released today.

Around 600 employees are engaged in duties in all three phases at the power plant.

Jayawardene said all 600 report to work from temporary lodgings within the premises of the coal power plant.

The Ceylon Electricity Board will determine future measures based on the PCR test results of the four employees.
