Under19 Division One Schools Cricket (Two-Day) Gurukula upset S. Thomas’ Mt.Lavinia

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Gurukula College Kelaniya caused a major upset when they defeated last year’s runner-up S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia in the pre-quarter final of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 19 Division One inter schools cricket (two-day) match played at Mt. Lavinia yesterday.

Gurukula won on points against S. Thomas’. In the other matches Nalanda College won on first innings against St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa, Trinity College Kandy won on first innings against De Mazenod College Kandana in the pre-quarter finals. Gurukula Kelaniya, Nalanda and Trinity Kandy advanced to the quarter finals..
