Students & teachers injured in a clash in Jaffna

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A total of six students and three teachers have sustained injuries in a brawl within the Jaffna College of Technology premises.

The clash was reportedly orchestrated by a group of students who back an armed group in the Northern Province.

Meanwhile, a tense situation was reported after Police officers had attempted to unearth a stock of weapons reportedly buried within the College premises yesterday.

The Special Task Force personnel had intervened and de-escalated the situation. The Jaffna Police is conducting further investigations.
