CCD launches probe into Ranjan’s phone recordings

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) has launched an investigations into MP Ranjan Ramanayaka’s telephone recordings, police said.

Several telephone conversations between MP Ramanayaka and several key officials of the police including former Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), judiciary and prominent politicians are being circulating in social media.

The police seized several CDs from the MP’s residence in Madiwela on Saturday during a search carried out by the CCD following a warrant issued by the court.
