Sri Lanka’s Envoy to Nepal holds talks with President Bidya

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Indian and Sri Lankan ambassadors to Nepal separately called on President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the latter’s office in Sheetal Niwas on Wednesday, The Himalayan Times reported.

In their meeting, Sri Lankan Ambassador WS Parera and President Bhandari held discussion on issues of bilateral interests and strengthening relationship between Nepal and Sri Lanka, the Office of the President said in a statement.

Indian Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri held discussion with President Bhandari on her upcoming state visit to India besides issues of bilateral interests, according to the Office of the President.

President Bhandari is scheduled to visit India from April 17 to 21 upon the invitation of her Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee.

Senior government officials were present on both the occasions.
