Ceylon Fisheries Corporation to open 20 outlets by New Year

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Ceylon Fisheries Corporation following the instructions of Fisheries Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has planned to expand its outlet network by setting up 20 new branches for the New Year season.

Of them, 10 outlets were opened last month and the rest is expected to open by the Sinhala and Tamil New Year day.

According to the sources, the Ceylon Fisheries Corporation, which was incurring losses during the past, is becoming a stable institution due to the new management.

CFC by its new initiative expects to provide fresh fish for their customers thus earning a profit of Rs. 70 million this year.
