(UTV|COLOMBO) – A massive protest demonstration was held at Galle Face in Colombo on Tuesday (19) against the new garbage disposal site being constructed at Aruwakkaalu in Puttalam.
The protestors emphasised that the locals would be compelled to face various environmental issues as garbage from Colombo is being dumped in Puttalam.
“We need development, not garbage,” read placards held by protestors at the protest demonstration.
