(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The token strike launched yesterday by the Federation of University Teachers Association (FUTA) will continue today (09th Thursday).
The Association said the trade union action is being launched based on several demands including salary anomalies.
The Federation of University Teachers Association said it will resort to a future course of action if solutions are not provided to its issues.
The token strike was launched as recent discussions held with the government were unsuccessful. Accordingly, the conduct of university examinations has been hindered as a result of the strike action.
