(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Prevailing showery condition is expected to further enhance during next few days (1st and 2nd March), Met. Department said.
According to them, cloudy skies along with showers or thundershowers can be expected at times over most parts of the country.
Fairly heavy showers (above 50mm) are also likely at some places, especially in the Eastern, Uva, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
