Former Minister Wimal Weerawansa, accompanied by civil society representatives and supporters, had begun a continuous ‘Satyagraha’ protest in front of the Education Ministry. The demonstration demands the withdrawal of the recently introduced education reforms and calls for Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya to resign from her position as Education Minister.
