(UTV | COLOMBO) – Fuel will be provided at all filling stations around the island today (27) based on the last digit of the vehicle number plate.
Accordingly today only vehicles with the last numbers 6, 7, 8, and 9 will be granted fuel.
Fuel is issued up to Rs.1,500 for motorbikes, Rs.2,000 for three-wheelers, and Rs.7,000 for other vehicles.
Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera also stated that fuel prices may be reduced from the beginning of 1st of August.
The Minister further stated that it was agreed to revise the fuel price on the 1st and 15th nights of each month.
