SB Dissanayake hopeful of a prompt election

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Former Minister SB Dissanayake says the Sri Lanka Nidahas Podujana Alliance is awaiting the conduct of a General Election.

Speaking at a media briefing today, Dissanayake said the alliance is prepared to face an election on any day declared by the Election Commission.

He said they believe that just as it was announced by the Director General of Health Services, election preparations can begin.

SB Dissanayake commenting on the possible General Election result said, the alliance is working to claim wins in Nuwara-Eliya, Ampara, Trincomalee and Vavuniya.

He noted that the alliance is vying to claim at least 135 seats in Parliament, with a 52-53% win certain.
