The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has announced the recruitment of drivers and conductors on a contract basis, inviting applications from eligible individuals across the country.
The initiative aims to strengthen the public transport service, which currently operates with a workforce of over 25,000 across 107 depots around the country.
A paper advertisement in this regard was published today. Accordingly, there are 450 vacancies for drivers (425 for males and 25 for females) and 300 vacancies for conductors (275 for males and 25 for females).
The deadline for applications is July 31, 2025. The post applied for and the relevant province must be clearly stated on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.
Applicants are required to present their original School Leaving Certificate (Student’s Progress Report) and other educational certificates at the interview. The SLTB emphasized that incomplete or non-compliant applications will be rejected. UTV NEWS
